BIKE RIDING SEASON IS HERE!!!

By Debbie Bulloch

Summer’s warmer days (and evenings) combined with longer daylight hours can mean only one thing: bike riding season is here!

By now you all know about my passion for bike riding. There are others who frequent this blog who also ride – in typical Dutch fashion, Yucca Gemini rides her indestructible Dutch city bike (a two-wheeled tank) to get around places; Arcabulle Odriscoll rides his light, Scott carbon-framed road bike in races all over his native France, setting the pace on tough mountain climbs; and Gloeing Ember has used his considerable mechanical skills to fashion a better seatpost for his mountain bike so that he can ride more comfortably all over those magnificent Canadian mountain trails.

So in anticipation of the Summer of 2009 bike season here is some information that you may find useful:

Great info. Not sure that "real" men shave their legs though. LOL

deb very nice article and good advice ! that is interesting ! thanks to mention me biut i am not such a biker ! i am not a very strong rider ! i am very normal even if sometimes i do some long rides ! i love bike because we can feel free , you can listen to the birds appreciate the country the sea or whatever you want and you can also go fast and speed and forget the problems you have or not so forget everything ! bike is a very nice sport ! i do really appreciate it like debbie does like gloeing does ! i didn't know that he rode and like yucca does too ! that is nice !
it is sometimes very hard but very good for a lot of thing : health, environment, country ... it is very nice !
oh in fact true men shave their legs though ! at least the bikers because it is incredible how you can go faster ! i think when you shave your legs you must win at least 5 miles / hour !! wow ! incredible ! Lol !
hahahaha
in fact i think there are two main reasons :
* first when you fall or are blessed it is a good way to have legs clean ! and it is easier to clean
* second : i do think that a lot of bikers appreciate this for esthetism ! maybe it is the main reason and so bikers feel like professionals like Lance armstrong or bernard hinault or Leipheimer or Cadel Evans ... hehehee

But i have heard that a lot of women who ride don't shave their legs ! do you think that it is true !
hehehe

so byeeee
try the bike try it as you can and you will see it is very nice and could be very comfortable !
